The Hearth Collective
Online community for chronically-ill BIPOC folks
Come join me and others dealing with chronic illness for some intentional space to honor ourselves and all of our wins and challenges. This space centers marginalized identities and BIPOC folks (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color).

Welcome to the Hearth family!
This is a no-pressure, no-expectation space that encourages rest and to prioritize embracing community when isolation is so common now, especially in the chronically-ill communities.
Accessibility needs are important here, and I want to normalize speaking up for them as much as possible! We will prioritize rest first and foremost with an emphasis on curiosity and play. The vibe includes participating wherever is most comfortable for you-in bed, on a couch… plenty of breaks as needed, pajamas and cozy clothes encouraged, warm drinks and a bowl of snacks on hand—the only way zoom calls should be experienced.
This is not the space for therapy or support groups nor for medical advice. If you want more direct care from me in a practitioner capacity, please take a look at my private coaching offerings that require a proper medical intake and private space for discussing personal information.
Sliding scale pricing will be offered, but no one will be turned away for lack of funds. After joining the Mailing List, I’ll keep you updated with all of the different offerings you can read about below. Join in an offering whenever you want. If you have an idea of an offering you’d like to see or would like to co-facilitate, send me a message! I speak from my framework as an East Asian Medicine practitioner, but am all for collaborations of all types of modalities :)
What I actually look like 99% of the time. This was right in the middle of a flare!

What constitutes being “chronically-ill” to join the group?
I want to be clear, all that identify with chronic illness in some way or form are welcome. I will never ask someone the severity of illness, what illness they suffer from, how long they have sufferered from it, or any details they don’t wish to share. There are many illnesses that are invisible. There are dynamic illnesses that cause fluctuations in functionality. Every day you are different and how you feel is ever-changing.
These are different iterations of the nature of my illness where I cycle as severe as an ER visit to mobility aids to rocking out on my motorcycle. Every version of me is strong and resilient!

Community Offerings
Offerings and their availability change so get on the mailing list for updates!
Medicine Series
We may explore Filipino Indigenous Medicine or aspects of East Asian Medicine such as one of the five elements (Water, Fire, Wood, Metal, Earth) more in-depth with an experiential activity and reflection on how we relate to them both internally in spirit and mind and externally in our bodies and how we relate to the world around us.
Book Club Series
Length TBA depending on book length
We will read and discuss a book within the theme of chronic illness, autoimmunity, disability, etc.
Doodle Day
Do some art together—doodles, paint, clay, etc. and end with an optional share of our creations! You decide your medium. I’ve always loved creating, but having accountability and making art with others has always been the best motivator for me.
Coworking Sessions
Body double to help get work done! A no-pressure space to come in and get work done in the presence of others trying to get work done too! Sometimes you just need another person’s eyes on a new project you’re working on, or maybe you just want some accountability on that list of easy, yet difficult tasks like renewing your car registration. We’ve all been there. Come hang out!
The goal is to create a safe space for everyone to feel welcome. We’re also all adults and respect is a given here. Please don’t treat others in ways that you wouldn’t want to be treated yourself.
This is a casual meetup, but we still value each other’s time, so please try to arrive on time.
This is not the space for therapy or support groups nor for medical advice (Refer to your doctor). If you want more direct care from me in a practitioner capacity, please take a look at my coaching offerings that require a proper medical intake and private space for discussing personal information.
Any inappropriate behavior will have you be removed immediately. Zero tolerance space for any behavior other than inclusive.
Accessibility Needs: Please let me know beforehand if I can accomodate for your needs in any way. I am still learning myself to make spaces as inclusive as possible!
